This free workshop geared for small business owners covers two very sought-after topics: How to effectively plan and organize your social media calendar, and how to find funding to pay for hiring and equipment purchases.
Sash Johnson, the founder of Choctaw Websites, will present, “Easy Social Media Planning”. Attendees will learn the basics of using a social media calendar, how to identify topics to post about, and to figure out how to write them for maximum engagement. Sash will detail the various strategies that larger, successful businesses use to maximize their social media engagement.
Susan Bates, a senior loan officer with REI Oklahoma (Rural Enterprises of Oklahoma, Inc.) will present, “Funding Solutions for Small Businesses”, highlighting the the various funding options available to small business owners in Oklahoma. Would you benefit from hiring a manager to run your operations? Need money to purchase a bigger workshop? Susan will show you the multitude of ways to find funding.
Larry Adams is General Business Advisor for the Oklahoma Small Business Development Center based out of Durant, Oklahoma. He began with SBDC in 2023 and primarily covers southeast Oklahoma but works with clients statewide. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Education and a master’s degree in Business Administration for Southeastern State University. He also holds certifications from
OSHA, Dale Carnegie and Alcoa APS University.
